Dr. Wang has a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Cambridge. After completing a master's degree in pure mathematics at the University of Hong Kong, she went on to pursue a doctorate in Statistics at the University of Wisconsin - Madison and graduated with a dissertation titled Topological Data Analysis in Electroencephalographic Studies under the supervision of Dr. Moo K. Chung. She joined the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of South Carolina as an Assistant Professor of Biostatistics in 2018 and is currently developing topological learning methods for multimodal neuroimaging studies in brain network disorders such as epilepsy and post-stroke aphasia.

Xingpei Zhao, MSPH

University of South CarolinaMs. Zhao has a medical degree from the Anhui Medical University in China. She has recently completed her MSPH in Biostatistics at UofSC with a thesis titled Network-Based Statistical Analysis of Functional MRI Data from Aphasia Patients under the supervision of Dr. Yuan Wang. In recognition of her exceptional coursework and thesis effort, she was awarded the Distinguished MSPH Graduate Award by the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. She began her doctoral studies in the Biostatistics program in August, 2020.

Yilun Zhang, MSPH

Graduated in 2021

Ms. Zhang wrote an MSPH dissertation in biostatistics titled Association between Beta-band Neural Response and Behavioral Performance in Aphasic and Neurologically Intact Individuals under the supervision of Dr. Yuan Wang. She is currently enrolled in a PhD speech neuroscience program at the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the Arnold School of Public Health, UofSC.
